Announcing ... Age of Sigmar League - Winter 2025

Somewhere is Azyr sits Sigmar, cozy in his comfy throne as he sips on hot chocolate from Ghyran’s finest farms. Winter is in full swing across the Mortal Realms and even Nagash is celebrating the turn of the new year. But nothing lasts forever and this holiday peace is drawing to a close. It’s time to kick off the first conflict of 2025; Gamers Grove’s Winter 2025 Age of Sigmar League!

What’s a League?

At Gamers Grove we run 6-week long, swiss pairing events for our Warhammer players called Leagues. During a League event, you’re given one pairing each week so you have all week to schedule a game with your opponent. We’ve found this helps folks with busy lives — like students or parents — get to actually play Warhammer.

When do we start and what do I need?

This Age of Sigmar league will be starting on the week of January 27! Pairings will be going up that day and every Monday after that. All you need is a 2000-point Age of Sigmar army, some dice, and a willingness to work with your opponent to find a good time to play each week. Tickets are $10 and should be purchased by January 26th.

Does my army need to be painted?

Nope! Gamers Grove appreciates painted armies because — with your permission — we can use photos of those armies in action for social media promotions. However, while it is nice to see painted armies, gray plastic is nothing to be ashamed of. Every army was gray at one point!

To reward players who do paint their armies, however, we’ll offer a $5 credit (up to $10 max) for each time both you and your opponent have fully painted armies. This means if enough folks paint their armies, you could get your entry fee back in store credit!

What are your policies for 3D printed miniatures?

3D printed models will not be allowed. 3D printed accessories, upgrades, and modifications are fine. Further, kit-bashes are more than welcome as long as models are identifiable as what they’re being played as. For example, don’t bring a random piece of scatter terrain and tell your opponent it’s a Suffocating Gravetide.

If you’re not sure about the legality of a model or if you have a issue with a model being out of stock and want to use a proxy feel free to message Todd on the store Discord and he will evaluate on a case-by-case basis.
